Linocut of a magnificent beech tree I drew while having a rest during a walk in the Chilterns. I love to look up at tree canopies and see the “sky holes” punched in their leaves on a bright day. The print was created by carving the lino block with special tools and also caustically etching it to help reproduce the patterns of leaves. The image measures 30cm x 40cm and the paper it is printed on measures 41cm x 53cm.
